LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH!!

At the heart of it is Yuri Hasegawa, our whirlwind of a heroine: bold, hilarious, and deeply sincere. From the moment she blurts out her love for Keiichiro on the train, her passion is infectious. She’s impulsive, refreshingly direct about her feelings, and always charging forward with this endearing blend of vulnerability and confidence. Yuri radiates authentic teenage energy and emotional courage, and her over-the-top antics never feel forced, they’re full of heart. She's not just a standout female lead; she’s easily one of my favorite shoujo heroines of all time.

And then there's Keiichiro, what an unexpectedly lovable male lead. He’s calm, reserved, and a total rule-follower, but never in a way that feels cold. In fact, his restraint feels like a form of care: he's constantly thinking about what’s best for Yuri, even when it means denying himself. He’s smart but adorably clueless when it comes to love and social cues, which only makes his slow emotional unraveling even sweeter. What I love is how neither of them asks the other to change, they meet each other exactly as they are. Keiichiro’s steady presence grounds Yuri’s impulsiveness, and in turn, her warmth and determination gently pull him out of his shell.

Because of his family’s elite background, Keiichiro is strictly forbidden from any romantic or physical contact before turning 18, a setup that sets the stage for nonstop comedic tension. Yuri, being Yuri, wants affection now, and Keiichiro, being very much in love with her, wants it too—m, but rules are rules. The result? Absolute chaos, heartfelt hijinks, and some of the funniest scenes I’ve seen in a rom-com.

But what makes this story shine is how emotionally honest it is beneath the humor. Yuri may be the more expressive one, but every time Keiichiro quietly finds a loophole to make her happy—like sneaking in contracts, sabotaging school trips just to get closer, or writing shared diary entries—you can feel the depth of his love. And Yuri supports, and believes in him. Their relationship is rooted in mutual respect, which makes every little victory feel like a shared triumph.

And the comedy! I’ve laughed out loud at Yuri’s dramatic declarations and Keiichiro’s serious responses. They're unintentionally hilarious, and their awkward, rule-bound romance somehow makes every stolen moment even sweeter. They’re genuinely one of the funniest, most charming couples I’ve come across.

Their love story is chaotic, sincere, and completely endearing. Every scene feels like a celebration of love in all its ridiculous, beautiful complexity. I love them so much it hurts.
